What is a single purpose dog? It’s simple: these dogs are trained to excel in one specific task. Most commonly, this means detection work.
A single purpose detection dog can be trained to identify contraband such as drugs or explosives. In contrast, dual purpose dogs are capable of performing multiple tasks.
